Northeast Columbia can also be reached by traveling on 1-20 towards Florence and exiting on Clemson Road. Northeast Columbia is convenient to Fort Jackson, Columbia SC, Charlotte NC, Camden and Blythewood. Richland County School District Two serves Northeast Columbia. The district has 22320 students. Northeast Columbia Schools are the favorite of many families.

The Village of Sandhills is a shopping center in Northeast Columbia. It is located on  300-acres. The Village of Sandhills has residential living as well as over one million square feet of retail space, restaurants, and a movie theater. The Village of Sandhills is beautiful and has fountains, sidewalks and a village type atmosphere.

Sesquicentennial State Park or Sesqui Park is located on Route 1 or Two Notch Road in Northeast Columbia. Sesqui is a 1,419 acre park with a 30 acre lake surrounded by trails and natural areas. This is a great park for mountain biking, fishing, boating and campouts. This park also has picnic areas. Sesqui is home to a 1700’s log home, one of the oldest buildings in Richland County. Sesqui Park is open year round.
